We are your independent, local and family owned one-stop-shop for locally sourced and fresh to order meal kits, ready-to-eat meals plus bottle shop, groceries and more.  We also hold virtual events that you can enjoy safely with co-workers, friends and family such as our popular Cooking with Fat Sparrow with Chef Nick series and Tequila School! 

A fresh and local meal kit subscription service

We are trying to be a little different than the big guys.  We take pride in our commitment to our Waterloo Region community by supporting those around us. 

Our subscription service offers you a weekly or bi-weekly meal kit box, prepared fresh to order right in St. Jacobs with locally sourced ingredients pre-packaged and pre-measured for your convenience with no additives or preservatives. 

We really do make everything from scratch with our own curated group of restaurants and food shops led by Chef Nick Benninger. Each meal kit comes with easy to follow recipe cards for all levels of cooking skills and most recipes come with an instructional video, hosted by Chef Nick himself.

You get everything you need down to the last grain of salt in eco-friendly, recyclable packaging. Free delivery for orders over $50. Each subscriber will receive exclusive offers to our regular marketplace items and our popular virtual events such as Tequila School and Cooking with Fat Sparrow.

How do I sign up?

Go to our Subscription page and hit “Yes, I’m in!”.
Choose your desired box plan.  We offer as little as 1 meal kit per week, making it even easier for you to try our service.
Pick your meal kits, choose your frequency (we offer weekly or bi-weekly box plans) and sign up!
Keep browsing other items in our marketplace and add to cart.
Schedule your curbside pickup or delivery at checkout.

How do I change my meal kits in my box plan?

If you’re happy with your initial box plan and schedule and you don’t want to change it then just leave it as is and we will keep delivering the same meal kits at the frequency you selected.

If you want to change things up in your existing box, go to “My Subscriptions” found in your account profile, choose the button “Change Meals” on your existing subscription to to select your next set of meals. Submit your form and we will update your upcoming order and send you a confirmation.

Remember all orders and changes must be made at least 3 business days before your chosen pickup/delivery date.

You may always cancel your subscription at any time.

We make is easy for you to pickup and convenient if you prefer your order delivered within Waterloo Region. We are working towards expanding our delivery boundaries as we grow.

Our packaging is Eco-Friendly.
We strive to provide recyclable cardboard,  brown paper bags, or municipal green-bin friendly packaging, whenever possible. Food safety is still paramount, and some things do need to have freezer packs and plastic vacuum-sealing. These items can be recyclable in your blue bin.
We are a greener option with a lower carbon footprint as we always support LOCAL farmers and producers in our beautiful  region.

Browse through our marketplace and shop for a variety of products we produce ourselves right here in Waterloo Region and feature items from local producers. Add items to your cart and proceed to checkout.  At checkout you will be prompted to create and account which will keep track of your order history and make it easier for when your order again. Choose your method of shipping (delivery or pickup), choose your fulfillment date and process your payment.  Your order will be processed fresh to order!  Don’t forget FREE delivery for Waterloo Region on all orders over $50.

The first time you order you will be prompted to create a password protected account. This will serve to create your order, confirm your delivery address and process payment. It also allows us to reach out to you in case there are unforeseen changes to your order status.

CHANGING YOUR ACCOUNT PROFILE? When you are done adding things to your Cart, you can login to your account and make any necessary changes before checking out your purchases.


Go to the Gift Card tab on our marketplace and choose your denomination.  You will have to the choice to schedule your gift card delivery on a specific special day for your recipient. Our digital gift cards are the perfect gift for a convenient way of shopping local!
